His wife was 22 years old she was a singer Mayte Garcia. The couple had a baby son who was born with Pfeiffer syndrome and died seven days later. Their marriage deteriorated under the strain of this tragedy and they divorced in 1999. Prince again married Manuela Testolini In 2001. This marriage too did not long-lasting.
In early April 2016, he reported that he was not feeling well and adjourned his performances. It was also said that he was being treated for drinking drug overdose. He was found dead in a lift On April 21, 2016. When he died He was 57 years old.
